Reporting to: Operations Lead
Position Summary
The role is responsible for leading Supply Planning and S&OP processes pan-India to ensure optimal service levels, inventory efficiency, and cost performance. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Finance to deliver robust supply plans
aligned with business objectives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
Lead India monthly S&OP review meetings and critically challenge demand, supply assumptions,
and analytics to improve forecast accuracy through cross-functional inputs.
Act as the central owner of supply planning inputs to the S&OP process.
Contribute in third party manufacturing locations planning of volumes, managing MOQ's led
inventory and support on additional admin role.
2. Supply & Production Planning
Develop detailed production and capacity plans aligned to service, inventory, cost, and write-off
targets.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Supply Planning while collaborating closely with Factory
Production and Procurement teams to ensure plan adherence.
Manage smooth production transitions and changeovers for existing and new product launches.
3. Inventory Management & Optimization
Strategically review inventory across RM, PM, and FG to optimize working capital while maintaining
high service levels.
Define, implement, and periodically review stock policies for factories and warehouses.
Coordinate inventory allocation and inter-warehouse transfers during supply constraints or excess
inventory scenarios.
4. Material Availability & Service Levels
Proactively assess material shortfalls and trigger procurement of raw and packaging materials to
prevent sales loss.
Drive initiatives to achieve zero/minimal sales loss and ensure high OTIF (On-Time In-Full)
performance.
5. Reporting, Analytics & Budgeting
Prepare and monitor supply planning budgets and ensure achievement of cost targets.
Develop and maintain analytical dashboards and reports covering forecast accuracy, run-rate,
inventory health, OTIF, ageing, expiries and service metrics.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration & Projects
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance teams to
ensure alignment and execution excellence.
Participate in enterprise-wide initiatives such as new product introductions, supply chain cost
optimization, digitization, and business process improvements.
7. Tools and capability
Be fully functional with reporting, forecasting and presentation tools like SAP, Power-BI, MS Power point, Anaplan and the likes of it.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Educational Qualifications
Master's degree in Supply Chain Management / Operations Management / OR
B.E. / B.Tech (preferably from a premier institute)
MBA from Top Tier 1 institute
2. Technical & Functional Skills
Strong experience in supply planning, inventory management, and S&OP processes
SAP (relevant modules) hands-on experience
Advanced analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
Strong understanding of FMCG / processed food supply chain dynamics
3. Behavioral & Leadership Competencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
Ability to maintain a calm demeanour in high-stress and demanding situations.
Detail-oriented, structured, and finically data-driven
Strong multitasking, prioritization, and execution skills
Ability to quickly learn internal tools, systems, and processes
