How will you make an impact in this role

Responsible for contacting clients with overdue accounts to secure the settlement of the account. Also they do preventive work to avoid future overdues with accounts that have a high exposure.

Description

This is a high-profile rolewithin the Banking Ops team (ICS), leading a COE function to address regulatory reporting obligations in India. As part of a COE function,the successful candidate will have an exciting opportunity to strengthen the India regulatory reporting program and ensure market Leadership and legal entity committees are informed of progress, risks and status related to on-going delivery of recurring and ad-hoc regulatory reports.

Responsibilities

This role will report tothe Director, Banking Operation and Complianceand will be primarily focused on the management as well governance and oversight of regulatory reportingin India.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to.


  • Lead a team of B30s, responsible for centralized governance oversight activity across recurring & ad-hoc India regulatory reporting obligations

  • Manage intake of full suite of India regulatory report inventory including ongoing maintenance, monitoring and tracking submission performance to ensure reporting obligations are fulfilled timely, accurately and completely.

  • Prepare/deliver regulatory report performance updates to legal entity committees and senior leadership to include driving awareness of risks and support needed to address.

  • Act as a first point of escalation in case of any roadblocks encountered and partner with Compliance & Business Stakeholders to support closure of gaps. (i.e.) ownership disputes, challenges with data sourcing/unavailability, etc.)

  • Support development of an appropriate testing and monitoring program, and conduct testing

  • Perform central coordination of ad-hoc report requests received through various intake channels, in partnership with Compliance & Business Stakeholders

  • Own end-to-end report production of select regulatory reports, that meet COE ownership criteria as needed

  • Work with report owners to ensure appropriate procedures and controls are in place for the production of regulatory reports

  • Partner with other COE resources within International OE Regulatory Reporting to identify synergies that support the larger strategic vision

  • Own maintenance of the regulatory reporting framework procedure for India ensuring it is an annually reviewed/updated with engagement of key stakeholders for inputs/alignment (i.e. Compliance, CISO, Branch Operations, etc.)

  • Support Automation and make regulatory reporting COE future ready with Fusion transformation.

Minimum Qualifications


  • The successful candidate will be a highly organized, self-starter and a strong communicator with a proven track record of influencing across a matrix organization.

  • Previous experience in project management with fast paced programs and/or projects where frequent high level status updates arepreferred.

  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills; ability to build relationships, influence decisions, and to inspire matrixed, cross-functional teams to deliver on shared objectives

  • Be able to identify and understand the status of different reports, their dependencies, issues and risks and communicate this in plain English.

  • Confidence in decision-making in complex & ambiguous situations; comfortable troubleshooting + aligning conflicting interests in a professional outcome-focused manner

  • Proven leader with ability to demonstrate driving success in driving complex project management inan agile environment

  • Experience of working and communicating with senior level stakeholders, and of being able to lead and influence without direct authority.

  • Comfortable working in an environment with tight deadlines, imperfect information, and high degrees of ambiguity.

  • Action oriented to facilitate closure of open points. Demonstrates creative and highly collaborative approach to solving problems

  • Analytical, agile and strong stakeholder management skill

  • Proficient in MS Excel (able to easily manipulate data, skilled at formatting, formulas, pivot tables, functions, and charts), Power-BI and Power Point skills

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:


  • Astrong network established across the India market/and business lines, with a good understanding of the regulatory reporting landscape would be a distinct advantage

  • Experience with managing end to end production of regulatory reports and/or familiar with reporting lifecycle / tools
