RSM US LLP is seeking a highly motivated Manager to join RSM US Integrated Services India Private Limited in India. This position is part of the Quality Management team within the National Professional Standards Group (NPSG), focusing on the assurance practice's System of Quality Management (SOQM).
This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the design and implementation of the assurance practice's SOQM in compliance with professional and regulatory standards. The Manager will collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to improve process documentation, internal controls, risk assessment processes, and remediation efforts. The role also includes leading SOQM initiatives, supporting training development, and assisting with updates to firm manuals and tools.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The following responsibilities represent the primary expectations of this role. Percentages indicate the average allocation of time and total 100%.
SOQM Design and Implementation (30%)
Maintain and continually improve the design and implementation of the assurance practice's SOQM in compliance with professional and regulatory standards, including documentation and enhancement of process narratives and internal controls.
Control Design and Implementation Readiness (15%)
Perform design and implementation readiness procedures for new and modified internal controls.
Risk Assessment and Quality Risk Identification (15%)
Assist with risk assessments for the assurance SOQM, including identifying quality risks and developing appropriate responses.
Remediation Activities (15%)
Participate in remediation efforts related to SOQM deficiencies and inspection findings.
SOQM Initiatives and Projects (10%)
Improve the quality of the assurance practice through SOQM initiatives and lead various SOQM-related projects.
Training and Methodology Support (10%)
Develop and facilitate training and assist with updates to firm manuals, methodologies, and tools.
Other Responsibilities (5%)
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA (preferred) or CA Certification
- CA qualified with 6+ years relevant public accounting experience
- ACCA/CPA qualified with 7+ years relevant public accounting experience
- 4+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting firm within the assurance practice or process, risk, and controls consulting practice
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- High level of organization and project management skills
- Ability to operate in a self-directed manner
- Ability to embrace and facilitate change management
- Strategic and creative thinking capabilities
- Commitment to maintaining knowledge of emerging professional standards related to quality management and control
