Position: Newspaper Manager (Punjabi Media Operations)

We are a growing Punjabi-language media organization focused on delivering news and content to audiences across international markets. We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Newspaper Manager to oversee the full operations of our publication.

This is a leadership role requiring strong command of Punjabi (Gurmukhi), operational management skills, and the ability to handle both editorial and administrative responsibilities.

Role Overview

The Newspaper Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the publication, including content production, team management, and overall workflow. This role requires someone who can take ownership of the entire newspaper function from planning to publication.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end newspaper production (planning, editing, publishing)

Manage editorial calendar and ensure timely release of content

Hire, train, and supervise editorial, social media, and support staff

Ensure all content meets quality standards in Punjabi (Gurmukhi)

Coordinate with writers, designers, and external contributors

Monitor news trends relevant to Punjabi audiences, especially in international markets

Manage internal workflows to ensure efficiency and deadlines are consistently met

Oversee digital platforms, including website and social media presence

Maintain overall accountability for performance and growth of the publication

Requirements

Strong proficiency in Punjabi (Gurmukhi) reading, writing, and editing is essential

Prior experience in media, journalism, or content operations preferred

Proven ability to manage teams and oversee operations

Strong organizational and leadership skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Familiarity with digital publishing, social media, and online news platforms is an advantage

Must be available to work onsite on a full-time basis
