Job Description – Project Manager
Department: Projects / Operations
Reporting To: Management / Head – Projects
Employment Type: Full-Time
Base Location: Bangalore
Initial Location: Assam (first 6 months)
Travel: Pan-India (as per project requirements)
Role Purpose
The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects, ensuring delivery within defined timelines, cost, quality, and safety standards. The role requires strong coordination with internal teams, vendors, and clients, with a high level of ownership and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Plan, execute, and monitor projects from initiation to closure.
Prepare detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Site & Operations Management
Oversee on-site execution during the initial Assam assignment.
Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and vendors.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and statutory requirements.
Stakeholder Coordination
Act as a single point of contact between clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Conduct regular project review meetings and share status updates.
Resolve project-related issues and escalations proactively.
Cost & Resource Control
Track project costs and control overruns.
Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
Support procurement and logistics planning in coordination with SCM.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records.
Prepare MIS reports on project progress, risks, and deliverables.
Ensure timely submission of reports to management.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure adherence to company quality standards and safety guidelines.
Implement corrective actions for deviations.
Support audits and inspections as required.
Minimum Expectations (Non-Negotiable)
Willingness to relocate to Assam for the first 6 months.
Availability for pan-India travel, including short-notice travel if required.
Strong ownership mindset with minimal supervision.
Regular attendance and availability, especially during critical project phases.
Clear communication with management and stakeholders.
Compliance with company policies, timelines, and reporting standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, or related discipline).
Project Management certification (PMP / Prince2) is an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in project execution or site management.
Experience handling multi-location or field-based projects preferred.
Exposure to industrial / engineering / infrastructure projects is desirable.

Probation & Conduct
Appointment will be subject to a probation period as per company policy.
Regular attendance, discipline, and performance during probation are critical.
