Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Develop and execute bandwidth procurement strategies in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end services and AMC contracts with global IT vendors.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard global/corporate vendors.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Establish and enforce procurement policies to ensure fairness, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

IT & Infrastructure Procurement

  • Source and procure IT hardware and infrastructure, including servers, dark fiber, bandwidth solutions, laptops, firewalls, software, and data centre accessories.
  • Manage AMC contracts for critical IT assets including servers, ACs, DGs, UPS, safety systems, networking devices, software licenses, and video conferencing equipment.

Financial & Operational Oversight

  • Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) initiatives by utilizing market intelligence, benchmarking, and supplier negotiations.
  • Maintain procurement trackers and MIS reports (monthly savings, open POs/PRs, spend analysis, bandwidth feasibility, and delivery tracking).
  • Oversee bandwidth provisioning, invoice processing, and ensure timely vendor payments.

Process Excellence

  • Validate purchase requisitions (PRs) from user departments.
  • Finalize RFPs/RFQs and solicit competitive vendor quotes.
  • Prepare comparative statements for supplier evaluation based on cost, quality, and reliability.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

Experience & Industry Knowledge

  • 7+ years of procurement experience, preferably in telecom, data centre, or IT infrastructure domains.
  • Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and contract lifecycle management.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (IT/Telecom/Electronics) preferred.
  • MBA or equivalent in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business Administration is an added advantage.

Key Competencies

  • Analytical thinking, strong negotiation skills, and robust vendor management capabilities.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and effectively manage senior stakeholders.
  • High level of business acumen with the ability to align procurement with business goals.

Operational & Strategic Skills

  • Proficient in TCO analysis, market benchmarking, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Experience in managing supplier costing models, especially in IT/Tech categories.
  • Strong prioritization skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with customer-focused delivery.
