Job Description

Job Title: Procurement Manager (GSE Opex)

Location: Gurgaon

Reports To: Associate Director

Educational Qualification

  • B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Additional certifications in Supply Chain Management or Procurement (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) will be an advantage.

Experience

  • 79 years of relevant experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Preferably from Automotive Industry or Aviation Industry.
  • Proven track record in managing procurement for technical equipment, spares, or Aviation ground support systems.

Team Management

  • Experience in handling a team of 23 procurement professionals.
  • Ability to mentor, guide, and develop team members for performance excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Procurement:
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate contracts to optimize spend.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for technical and operational requirements.
    • Maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Category Management:
    • Manage procurement for specialized categories such as automotive components, Misc spares, for ground support equipment of PAN India.
    • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking for pricing and quality.
  • Contract & Compliance:
    • Draft and review Annual rate contracts ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Budget & Cost Control:
    • Monitor procurement budgets and ensure cost efficiency.
    • Prepare periodic reports on savings, supplier performance, and procurement KPIs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with operations and finance teams to align procurement with project timelines.
    • Support new projects
  • Team Leadership:
    • Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and provide training to team members.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in procurement processes.
Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP Ariba , SAP Hana , Advance Excel , Power Point.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Industry Exposure

  • Automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
  • Aviation companies or ground handling companies
