Job Description

Sony Pictures Networks India is seeking an experienced Manager - Pricing & Revenue Strategy, SonyLIV. The primary role of the incumbent would be to evolve the Pricing and Revenue Strategy to maximize the top line and bottom line for the Digital Business

POSITION SPECIFICATION

Education - MBA (Full time) Preferred

Overall Experience - 6 Years plus, including TV and Digital pricing revenue strategy experience

Key Responsibilities Overall

Annual and Medium Term Planning

  • Design the budget plan by time, bands and months
  • Track and analyze actuals vs target
  • Generate weekly category snapshot /monthly/quarterly reports based on sales reviews

Analysis and Strategic Inputs

  • Liaise with agencies to understand the channel evaluation criteria
  • Understand competition in terms of pricing and client strategies
  • Provide insights to the sales team in terms of various reports and analyses
  • Provide input to the business development team while evaluating properties
  • Identify revenue gaps and provide insights to the sales teams on how to bridge them
  • Arrive at a pricing strategy thorough analytical breakdowns of pricing structures and sales funnels of similar competitor products and services and identifying specific strategies used in pricing models

Sales Force Effectiveness

  • Coach the sales teams on their day-to-day activities and answering their queries
  • Develop tools e.g. deal automation software to improve the effectiveness of the sales team
  • Provide inputs and support for sales reviews

Branded Content

  • Will be the ambassador for branded content on Sony LIV. The role holder will take it to market, build it & own it.
  • To spearhead the integrating of Brands on OTT Platform, in brand safe environment
  • Candidate will be expected to have a strong relationship with large media agencies across India primarily on the branded content divisions, develop the market and create business opportunities.
  • Will work with the sales team nationally & identify suitable opportunities across their brands in order to create excitement around upcoming Web Originals, Content Hosting & other content specific options on the platform.
  • Will be working with internal stakeholders i.e. Direct Sales to develop bespoke solutions & successful client delivery.

  • Candidates experienced with sponsorship sales, sales on the SME side and excellent presentation skills will be preferred.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Must have a 6+ years of Media / Advertising sales background.
  • Must be well versed with client strategies and advertising agencies and channel partners from North/West/South - should be well networked and connected.
