Job Summary
Vialto Partners is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager - People Operations (India) to lead and manage end-to-end HR operations across the employee lifecycle. This is a country-level leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day People Operations, ensuring service excellence, compliance, and process efficiency while managing a Tier 1 support team.
The role requires a strong operational mindset, expertise in HR systems (especially Workday), and the ability to drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- People Operations Management (Hire to Retire)
- Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding
- Ensure seamless execution of HR operations with high accuracy and efficiency
- Act as a point of escalation (Tier 2 support) for complex HR queries and issues
- Service Delivery & Team Management
- Manage and mentor the Tier 1 People Operations team
- Drive service excellence through effective handling of Workday Help (Service Desk) tickets
- Ensure adherence to defined SLAs, TAT (Turnaround Time), and quality benchmarks
- Monitor and improve Employee Net Promoter Score (NPS)
- HR Systems & Workday Operations
- Act as the primary owner of Workday for HR operations in India
- Ensure accurate data management, reporting, and system governance
- Partner with global teams for system enhancements and issue resolution
- Payroll & Benefits Operations
- Manage monthly payroll inputs in coordination with India payroll team
- Oversee benefits administration, including employee queries and enrollments
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all payroll-related data submissions
- Compliance & Statutory Requirements
- Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws and statutory requirements including PF, EPS, POSH, and other regulatory frameworks
- Maintain audit readiness and documentation for all HR processes
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks
- Talent Acquisition (TA) Operations
- Support TA operations including offer management, onboarding coordination, and candidate experience
- Collaborate with recruitment teams to ensure smooth hiring processes
- Process Excellence & Automation
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency
- Develop and maintain SOPs, playbooks, and knowledge documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and standardization across processes
- Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Provide regular reporting on operational metrics, SLAs, NPS, and process performance
- Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to align on People Operations strategy
- Act as the India point of contact for People Operations matters
Qualifications & Skills
- 8-10 years of experience in HR Operations / People Operations
- Strong expertise in Workday (mandatory)
- Proven experience in managing HR service delivery teams
- Solid understanding of Indian labor laws, payroll, and compliance (PF, EPS, etc.)
- Experience in handling HR helpdesk/service desk models
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement and automation initiatives
