Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in one or more of the following languages: SQL, R, Python, or C++.
- 7 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- 7 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.
- 10 years of experience in internet technology, e-commerce, payments/online payments policy enforcement, risk/fraud investigation/product abuse.
- 7 years of experience with machine learning systems.
- Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to process high amount of data to drive business strategies and decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent leadership, influencing, and teamwork skills.
About The Job
In this role, you will work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google, in order to ensure a safe and secure payments ecosystem for our users. You will identify and solve complex problems. With your investigative and technical skills, you will innovate and optimize our processes and tools. You will be proactive, motivated, organized, reliable, innovative and work well in a fast-paced, global, cross-functional, and team-oriented environment to get things done. You will promote users trust in Google and ensure the highest levels of user safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-performing sub-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive deep analytics and provide the technical framework for the team to conduct root-cause analyses, ensuring solutions address systemic issues.
- Facilitate and manage operations programs, working closely with Google engineers, product managers and vendor operations to develop and track project schedules and timelines. Use technical expertise to drive and implement automation opportunities.
- Perform end-to-end assessment of the associated risk and vulnerability of products and features. Respond to escalations from internal and external parties within designated service levels.
- Investigate fraud and abuse incidents, identify patterns and trends in order to generate risk management solutions.
