Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager with strong expertise in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Financial Statement Finalization. The role will primarily focus on managing accounting operations (70%) while also leading and mentoring a team of accounting professionals (30%). The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge along with the ability to manage people, processes, and client deliverables efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Management (70%)
- Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Handle financial statement preparation and finalization in compliance with accounting standards.
- Review reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reports for accuracy.
- Monitor cash flow, vendor payments, and receivables management.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal accounting controls.
- Support audits and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Team Management & Leadership (30%)
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accounting professionals.
- Allocate tasks, review team output, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Provide training and guidance to improve team productivity and accounting accuracy.
- Monitor team performance and support process improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CA Inter / CPA / MBA Finance preferred).
- 1015 years of experience in accounting, with strong exposure to AP, AR, and financial finalization.
- Prior experience in managing a team of accountants is preferred.
- Experience working with hospitality accounting or outsourced accounting services is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of accounting systems and ERP tools.
