Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager for our newly launched Pan Asian restaurant. The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations, ensure exceptional guest service, and lead a team to deliver high-quality dining experiences. As the manager, you will be responsible for creating an inviting atmosphere, maintaining operational excellence, and promoting a passion for Pan Asian cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
Restaurant Operations: Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Pan Asian restaurant, ensuring smooth functioning in all areas including service, kitchen, and dining operations.
Guest Experience: Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction through exceptional service, addressing guest concerns, and anticipating needs. Promote the restaurant's Pan Asian culture and ambiance.
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of servers, kitchen staff, and support personnel. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and foster teamwork.
Menu Knowledge & Quality Control: Have a deep understanding of Pan Asian cuisine, including key dishes, flavors, and preparation techniques. Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet the restaurant's high standards.
Financial Management: Manage and oversee the restaurant's budget, including controlling costs, analyzing profit margins, and ensuring the restaurant operates within financial targets.
Inventory & Ordering: Oversee inventory management, ensuring that stock levels are maintained, and products are ordered in a timely manner. Minimize waste and optimize resources.
Marketing & Promotion: Work closely with the marketing team to develop strategies to attract new guests and retain loyal customers. Implement promotions, special events, and collaborations to enhance the restaurant's brand and visibility.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all health, safety, and hygiene standards are met. Maintain a clean and safe working environment for both staff and guests in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Conflict Resolution: Handle guest complaints, conflicts, and other operational issues in a timely and professional manner. Resolve challenges with a positive and proactive approach.
Staff Scheduling: Create staff schedules based on business needs and employee availability. Ensure that shifts are covered and that the restaurant is fully staffed during peak hours.
Cultural Integration: Infuse the restaurant's operations with the essence of Pan Asian culture, ensuring the team provides authentic experiences and high-quality service to guests.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role in a restaurant, preferably in an Asian or Pan Asian concept.
Knowledge of Pan Asian Cuisine: A strong understanding of Pan Asian cuisine, including Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean, Indian, and other Southeast Asian culinary traditions.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience managing a diverse team. Ability to motivate and develop staff.
Customer Service Excellence: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with guests and staff.
Financial Acumen: Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and achieving financial targets.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills, especially in high-pressure situations, with a focus on ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple responsibilities at once and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
Cultural Sensitivity: A passion for Pan Asian cultures and an understanding of their dining traditions and preferences.
Education: A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
