How will you make an impact in this role
The Vendor Onboarding Operations role is responsible for coordinating and executing all activities required to onboard new third-party vendors efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
This role ensures that all due-diligence, risk assessments, documentation, tasks are completed end-to-end to enable vendors to begin service delivery without delays.
Serve as the central point of contact for internal stakeholders and new vendors throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
Track onboarding milestones and ensure timely completion of all required steps.
Build and maintain sustainable relationships with all stakeholders, establishing a reputation as a source of expertise in end to Procure to Pay Process
Provide guidance on process and control activities, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction among internal customers.
Maintain a robust control compliance environment, actively review audit requirements, and drive adherence to professional, legal, and regulatory standards.
Support internal and regulatory audits by providing comprehensive documentation and information as required by the audit team.
Manage the escalation process for critical issues, ensuring timely decision-making and problem resolution by the appropriate management chain.
Meticulous attention to details while preserving the goal and timeframe of end products
Is able and has the gravitas to interact at all levels of management to support resolution of complex business issues
Incumbent having strong understanding of AXP Policies and procedures will be an added advantage
Manage critical business relationship & engage stakeholders including Compliance, SSBE, TLM, Global Sanctions etc
Protects the brand by ensuring controls, compliance and information security and data protection.
Provide issue resolution/ business consultancy to customers.
Maintain and promote the Blue Box Values by ensuring that work is completed to the highest professional and regulatory standards.
Lead and mentor a team of onboarding specialists, ensuring high performance, accuracy, and service quality.
Set clear goals, manage workload distribution, and monitor team KPIs and operational metrics.
Develop team capabilities through training, coaching, and process knowledge enhancement.
Drive process standardization, automation opportunities, and optimization of workflow tools.
Educational /Professional qualification
Graduate or post - graduate with Min 8-10 Years of experience in procurement operations, TPRM, or vendor management,
Superior communication and customer service abilities to include excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong executive presence
Proven ability to effectively influence without authority across all levels
Flexibility to work with different countries (time-zones), groups, and business environment
Working knowledge of Procurement tools like Ariba/Oracle etc. would be an advantage.
Frequent contacts with internal/external customers and other company representatives at all levels of management.
Strong analytical skills and ability to derive intelligence from data and take/ facilitate business decisions.
Strong understanding of vendor onboarding workflows, contracting processes, and third-party risk assessments.
Excellent leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret operational and compliance data.
Proficiency with workflow tools, vendor management systems, procurement platforms, and reporting tools.
