Job Title: Manager (NEP Operationalization)

Location: Pune

Travel: As per the need of the projects

Position Overview:

The Manager NEP Operationalization will lead the strategic translation of NEP 2020 and NCF 2023 (Skill Education) into scalable, on-ground models for schools. This role requires a blend of policy analysis, program design, team leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and advocacy to embed skill education within government systems effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Policy Implementation & Program Design

  • Interpret and operationalize NEP 2020 and NCF 2023 provisions related to skill and vocational education
  • Lead the integration of skill education content with NCF, NSQF, and state curricula
  • Support the design, piloting, and statewide scaling of skill education programs

Team & Project Management

  • Manage and mentor the NEPNCF team, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of project outputs
  • Foster a collaborative and learning-oriented team culture

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with implementation, partnerships, research, and operations teams to ensure alignment and synergies
  • Government & External Engagement
  • Engage with State Education Departments, SCERTs, PMUs, and other key stakeholders
  • Represent the organization in policy consultations, working groups, and public forums on NEPNCF implementation

Advocacy & Communication

  • Drive advocacy efforts to influence policy and strengthen the skilling ecosystem
  • Develop high-quality policy notes, presentations, and capacity-building resources tailored to diverse stakeholder groups

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Education, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Management, or a related field
  • 810 years of total experience, with at least 46 years in education programs, policy implementation, or skill/vocational education
  • Strong understanding of NEP 2020, NCF 2023, and the Indian skill education landscape
  • Proven experience working with government systems and managing multi-stakeholder engagements
