Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager – Insurance & Risk to lead the company's global insurance portfolio and risk management initiatives. This role will be responsible for securing and managing insurance coverage across multiple jurisdictions, supporting claims processes, and driving proactive risk mitigation strategies. This position is based in India and will work closely with global stakeholders across finance, legal, operations, and campus teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Insurance Portfolio Management

  • Lead the placement, renewal, and optimization of insurance programs across 8+ countries, including the India campus business
  • Manage relationships with brokers, insurers, and external advisors to ensure competitive coverage and pricing
  • Evaluate coverage needs across directors & officers, property, liability, cyber, employee-related, and other relevant insurance lines
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory and statutory insurance requirements across jurisdictions

Claims Management

  • Oversee end-to-end claims management process, including reporting, documentation, negotiation, and settlement
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and insurers to ensure timely and favorable resolution of claims
  • Maintain claims data and analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement

Risk Management & Mitigation

  • Identify, assess, and prioritize enterprise risks across business units and geographies, in partnership with the GRC Team
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, policies, and controls
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Operations, HR) to embed risk awareness into business processes

Governance & Reporting

  • Maintain documentation of policies, coverage, and risk frameworks
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership on insurance costs, claims, and risk exposure
  • Support internal audits and compliance initiatives related to insurance and risk

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 6–10 years of experience in insurance and risk management, preferably in a multinational environment
  • Strong understanding of global insurance programs and multi-country risk considerations
  • Experience managing claims across different jurisdictions
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in India and other international markets
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., ARM, CPCU, FRM) are a plus
