Job Description

The Associate Head – Corporate Manufacturing Excellence is responsible for driving productivity improvement, quality enhancement, and manufacturing cost reduction across the Roots Group of Companies. The role focuses on deploying Lean and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize processes, eliminate waste, and enhance overall operational performance across manufacturing plants.

  • Identify process inefficiencies and lead improvement projects to reduce waste, cycle time, defects, and costs
  • Drive standardisation of processes and best practices across plants
  • Deployment of Lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies across manufacturing sites
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Quality Heads to analyse operational data, performance metrics, and trends to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support achievement of annual operational targets and strategic objectives
  • Initiate value stream mapping and kaizen
  • Support implementation and optimization of manufacturing systems (MES and digital tools)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Engineering)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / ECE/EEE /Industrial / Manufacturing or equivalent)
  • 15–20 years of manufacturing or operations experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong shop-floor presence
  • Data-driven decision making
  • Change management and coaching skills
