We are looking for an innovative and people-focused
Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our aerospace manufacturing engineering function. This is a leadership role for someone passionate about advanced manufacturing, operational excellence, and building high-performing engineering teams.
You will play a critical role in scaling manufacturing capability, introducing advanced technologies, and ensuring world-class quality and operational performance across aerospace programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of manufacturing engineers, driving technical excellence and team growth.
- Develop and execute strategies to improve manufacturing performance, efficiency, and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to achieve operational goals.
- Introduce innovative manufacturing technologies and automation to enhance productivity.
- Provide expert support for complex engineering challenges and continuous process improvement.
- Oversee manufacturing tooling, equipment design, and implementation.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, safety regulations, and quality systems.
- Manage engineering budgets, cost optimization initiatives, and resource planning.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
- Participate in the selection and qualification of suppliers for manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with R&D to ensure smooth transition of new products into manufacturing.
- Present performance insights, KPIs, and improvement plans to senior leadership.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent to build a strong future-ready team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- 12+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with leadership experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- Strong expertise in machining, assembly, composites, and additive manufacturing.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of aerospace standards such as AS9100 and NADCAP.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM and advanced manufacturing tools.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Project management experience with strong focus on delivery and cost control.
