Manager Legal & Commercial Contract

Role Overview :

We are looking for a legal professional to manage international commercial contracting and legal advisory for the organization's global business operations. The role will involve drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and structuring cross-border commercial agreements with international operators, partners, vendors, and consultants while ensuring compliance with applicable global regulations and company policies.

The role requires extensive interaction with international stakeholders, global operators, and foreign legal advisory firms to support international business initiatives.

Job responsibilities :

1. Manage end-to-end legal contracting for international business operations, including agreements with global operators, partners, and solution providers.
2. Draft, review, vet, and negotiate international commercial contracts, including connectivity agreements (IPLC, data/voice interconnects, roaming), procurement contracts, consultancy agreements, and technology partnerships.
3. Structure contracts to optimize commercial value while mitigating legal and regulatory risks across multiple jurisdictions.
4. Handle cross-border employment and consulting agreements for expatriate resources, ensuring compliance with local employment and labour laws in respective countries.
5. Collaborate with foreign legal counsel and advisory firms to ensure contracts comply with international legal frameworks and regulatory requirements.
6. Work closely with internal teams including taxation, HR, regulatory, insurance, procurement, and finance to ensure contracts meet business, legal, and compliance requirements.
7. Support legal structuring of international partnerships, strategic collaborations, investments, and acquisitions.
8. Ensure contracts comply with international taxation regulations, labour laws, telecom regulations, and other statutory provisions.
9. Provide legal support to business teams in international negotiations and commercial discussions with clients and partners.

Skills Required :

1. Strong experience in international commercial contracting, preferably in telecom, IT, digital services, or technology sectors.
2. Proven ability to draft and negotiate cross-border agreements with international clients and partners.
3. Experience in handling agreements related to connectivity services, telecom infrastructure, technology services, and strategic partnerships.
4. Good understanding of international contracting frameworks, taxation considerations, labour laws, and telecom regulatory environments.
5. Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
6. Ability to manage multiple contracts and stakeholders across different geographies.
