To be responsible for executing Industrial Relations strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, Compliances, Discipline, Manpower Management, Contact Management, Stakeholder Management, Liasoning and Administrations.
Understand and resolve problems which can affect productivity and poor performance related to misconduct
Communicate effectively and manage Associates through motivation and recognition.
Mutual collaboration between the top management level and union members.
Demonstrate good inter-personal skills with cross functional areas
Proactively forecast future industrial relations challenges, trend and conduct risk Analysis
Participate in the collective bargaining processes including terms and cost analysis to ensure the most favorable solutions
Assist with case investigation when necessary, document results and suggest recommended actions
Associate related statutory compliances viz. EPF, ESIC, LWF, Labour Act & Factories Act to be complied.
Compliances u/r Pollution Control Board, Industrial Development Corporations, Municipal Corporations,
Contract Labour Engagement & Management
Support the Total Rewards team to review, plan, and rollout new salary structures & HR policies basis changes in labor codes
Drive and implement various government initiatives/schemes with regards to labor & employment
HSE Responsibilities:
1. Ensure 100% PPE compliance in the area responsible.
2. Ensure the people in the department are well aware of the ongoing HSE initiatives and are participating in the initiatives effectively.
3. Ensure the reporting of Deviations is as per the target set for self and check monthly whether the team is adhering to their individual targets (2 per employee per year working at offices & 4 per employee per year working at industrial sites).
4. Ensure closure of audit action points including One Maestro Audit assigned to the department.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
Expertise in all labor laws and the new labor codes
Ability to deal with multiple labor unions, contract labor management team and senior leadership
Strategic thinking to devise plans/programs for building strong labor relations
Analytical ability with an eye for detail to analyze and understand compliance
Demonstrate high levels of ethicality, ownership & accountability
Stakeholder Management-Business, Local, Statutory, Peer Group
