American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the Global leader in the Commercial Payments Solutions space and subsequently continues to be an exciting and fast-growing segment. To maintain success, accelerating sales and driving profitable charge volume growth are critical for the organization. The Sales Enablement, Pricing and Transformation team is a core constituent in fuelling this agenda by finding opportunities to change the way we work and do business for the future.

The Project Manager- II of International Corporate PMO will be an integral part Commercial Strategic Delivery Team and partner closely with GCS and ICS business and support functions to deliver against a program which sets out to transform the way we offer Global Corporate Solutions. The role will lead multiple programs where our global offering is changing, with subsequent change management required to support Regulatory, Infra/Tech, Legal, Product, Capabilities uplift, change & transformation. The role is highly visible with great exposure to cross-functional business teams and success is based on driving delivery of expected outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for delivering against the strategic roadmap that will improve the competitiveness and quality of our corporate program offering in international markets
  • Manage program governance and delivery, partnering with key stakeholders to drive delivery against key workstreams, multiple projects effectively, efficiently, influencing and escalating to drive results as needed.
  • Partner with product and technology teams to coordinate planning process, defining requirements and ensuring delivery happens in scope and on time
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts across the Enterprise (e.g. G&L Strategy & Transformation team, G&L CLM, Operational Excellence, Compliance, GCO, GCS Product) to align on project delivery
  • Lead activity to support change management process with clients and external third parties
  • Act as central point of contact for a number of workstreams, accountable for delivery and execution against project roadmap

Qualifications:

  • An ideal candidate for this role would be a seasoned individual with 5-7 years of combined experience in Consulting, and/ or Program Management/ Strategy, Business Transformation as PMO/Project Manager etc.

  • Deep knowledge of the Corporate business, products and tools and an understanding of the needs of Global Commercial/Corporate customers.
  • Experience leading workstreams in large /at scale programs of change through to execution
  • People Leadership - Experience leading highly motivated and diverse team to deliver on the critical goals of driving flawless execution of a wide range of projects.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly complex environment and navigating between competing priorities
  • Exceptional consultation, communication, and relationship management skills to lead, influence and work closely with a large audience of partners at various levels of seniority and cross-functional partners
  • Excellent Project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to build results driving relationships
  • Expertise in developing and delivering upon a comprehensive delivery strategy that balances creativity, technical, and operational feasibility
  • Ability to effectively lead project resources to deliver against a broad set of priorities and objectives
  • Proven ability to take complex information and translate it into clear communications (presentations/memos) for a variety of audiences, e.g., senior management, colleagues etc.

    Desired Qualifications:

  • PMP Certified
  • Basic understanding of Data tools such as Lumi, Customer 360 & hands on experience in using and creating Microsoft Powerpoint, PowerApps , Excel , Visio , Dashboards , MIS and other relevant Project Management tools, apps.
  • Deep understanding of Corporate Business/Servicing/products.
