Job Description

A banking Hub Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving branch business and performance. Key duties include implementing operational policies, monitoring financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and liaising with other departments to achieve organizational goals. Qualifications typically include a Bachelor's degree, experience in banking operations or management, strong leadership skills, and financial acumen. 

Key responsibilities

  • Operational Management: Direct and supervise daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency and smooth functioning of all banking processes.
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate branch staff, providing guidance on sales, service, and process adherence.
  • Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer service, resolve customer issues, and handle escalations.
  • Financial Performance: Own the branch's P&L (Profit and Loss), monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to achieve financial and business targets.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, internal policies, and security protocols.
  • Liaison and Coordination: Liaise with other bank departments and support functions to ensure seamless business operations.
  • Reporting: Generate and present reports on business performance, operational issues, and other relevant data to management. 

Qualifications and skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Branch Manager or in a similar banking operations role. Experience in HUB management or regional operations is a plus.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in banking software and Microsoft Office Suite is required. The ability to analyze financial statements is also necessary.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements is essential.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
