Manager - HSE
Position Summary
This role involves overseeing the development, execution, and monitoring of safety programs, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. The Assistant Manager will also play an integral part in driving safety culture, improving operational performance, and meeting regulatory standards.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain documentation and submit reports as per statutory requirements (e.g., PCB, Factory Act, OSHA, etc.).
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and systems tailored to conductor manufacturing.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
- Plan and conduct regular safety training, toolbox talks, and environmental awareness programs for employees, contractors, and apprentices.
- Monitor waste management (metal scrap, lubricants, chemical waste, etc.), air and water emissions, and implement eco-friendly practices.
- Benchmark best practices in HSE and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support cross-functional teams in implementing Lean, TPM, or ISO-based management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
