- Landscaping & Garden Management
- Develop and implement landscaping plans for gardens, lawns, green belts, and indoor/outdoor plants.
- Monitor plant health, soil conditions, irrigation, pruning, pest control, and maintenance schedules.
- Oversee plantation activities including selection of plant species, seasonal plants, and nursery coordination.
- Ensure upkeep and maintenance of horticultural equipment, irrigation systems, and garden infrastructure.
- Implement eco-friendly practices such as composting, waste recycling, and water-efficient irrigation.
- Manage seasonal horticulture plans and ensure timely execution of plantation, pruning, and fertilization cycles.
- Coordinate with external vendors for landscaping, maintenance contracts, and procurement of horticultural materials.
- Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service-level agreements.
- Supervise a team of gardeners, supervisors, and contractual staff.
- Provide training on plant care, safety procedures, and efficient horticultural practices.
- Ensure workforce allocation and productivity management.
- Prepare annual budgets for horticulture operations, tools, materials, and manpower.
- Maintain records related to plant inventory, maintenance schedules, and expenditure.
- Prepare reports on horticulture activities and share updates with management.
- Ensure all horticultural activities follow safety standards and organizational guidelines.
- Monitor compliance with environmental norms and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Botany, or a related field.
- 510 years of experience in landscaping, horticulture management, or estate/green area maintenance.
- Experience working in corporate campuses, industrial estates, real estate townships, or large institutional gardens preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of plant species, garden design, and horticulture techniques.
- Hands-on experience in irrigation systems, pest/disease management, and landscape equipment.
- Good leadership, communication, and vendor-management skills.
- Ability to plan, budget, and execute horticultural projects efficiently.
- Understanding of sustainability and eco-friendly horticulture practices.
