The Manager, Third-Party Risk Management is responsible for supporting the development, governance, monitoring, and enterprise level reporting of all Global Sourcing & Procurement (GSP) policies, standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the company. This role will help guide the execution of policy governance, oversee routine monitoring activities, manage documentation workflows, and synthesize findings into actionable insights for senior leadership level reporting of all Global Sourcing & Procurement (GSP) policies, standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the company's global operations.
The Manager will oversee a small team focused on documentation, monitoring, testing, and analytics. The role ensures that GSP policy expectations are clearly defined, consistently executed, and measured across regions and business groups, and will support escalation into enterprise risk forums when appropriate.
The position plays a key role in strengthening the company's global governance model for sourcing, onboarding, assessing, contracting, managing, and terminating vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of GSP policies, standards, and SOPs.
- Manage policy lifecycle activities including drafting, review coordination, updates, and version control.
- Provide authoritative guidance on policy interpretation and issue resolution.
- Develop and oversee monitoring methodologies and compliance testing routines across business units.
- Review monitoring results and analytics to identify trends, gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare executive ready reporting packages for senior leadership and risk committees.‑
- Represent GSP in cross functional working groups focused on governance and monitoring.‑
- Supervise and mentor a small team responsible for documentation, monitoring, and analytics.
- Collaborate globally to ensure consistency across U.S., Asia, EMEA, and Latin America operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or certifications preferred.
- 6–8 years of experience in Procurement, Global Sourcing, Third-party Risk Management, or Risk & Controls.‑
- Strong understanding of vendor lifecycle processes and policy governance practices.
- Experience developing or managing governance frameworks in regulated industries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving‑ skills with the ability to translate data into insights.
- Experience overseeing or coaching junior team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong PowerPoint skills preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in global, matrixed environments.
- Fluent in AI-enabled environments, using approved tools responsibly to improve throughput, accuracy, and insight while adhering to Prudential's risk and governance standards. At a minimum, all GSP employees should be able to leverage AI tools to draft, extract, validate, and optimize content that is applicable to their respective function and utilize AI tools to consistently create new content, innovation, and idea generation.
