About this Position
The position of Manager for our FSC FM/COC Project is a dynamic and crucial role, focusing on the effective implementation and management of key activities aligned with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Forest Management (FM) and Chain of Custody (COC) certification standards for the bamboo plantation. This position involves coordinating and overseeing essential tasks to meet certification requirements of bamboo plantation and processing facilities and achieve the program objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct FSC FM/CoC Audits
- Assessment of Forest Stewardship Standard Rules for FSC Forest Management and Chain of Custody Certification
- Ensure compliance with FSC certification standards across all operations
- Monitor and evaluate forest management practices at the farmer and the bamboo collective level through internal audits
- Develop and implement strategies for maintaining and improving compliance
- Conduct internal field visits and inspections of the farmer group in accordance with FSC standards
- Plan and execute audits and inspections as per the timeline
- Ensure the successful completion of FSC certification for the group on an annual basis
- Manage renewal and surveillance audits conducted by the CB.
Capacity Building
- Build capacity of operational and technical team members on certification standards.
- Facilitate team members to implement activities related to the FSC certification process on the field.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare comprehensive internal audit reports outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Prepare FSC-related necessary documents and activities to support FSC FM & CoC certification process.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comprehensive records related to FSC compliance for FSC FM & CoC certification.
Regulatory Compliance
- Stay abreast of FSC standards, regulations, and best practices from other certification programs.
- Ensure audits align with FSC guidelines and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with FSC stakeholders and other relevant agencies to ensure seamless implementation of certification
