Role Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all AP-related activities. This includes managing the end-to-end process for invoice booking, monitoring and maintaining the Invoice Tracker, and driving monthly AP closing activities. The role also involves coordinating with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve discrepancies, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and supporting process improvements for operational efficiency.

Designation: Manager -Finance Accounts Payable (COS) -Freight Forwarding

Base Location: Navi Mumbai

Reporting to: Deputy General Manager-Finance-Freight Forwarding

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Oversee endtoend Accounts Payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing with proper approvals and full policy compliance.
• Lead the team of 30-40 members team working in 24/5 environment
• Present daily, weekly, and monthly reports on costofsales booking and SLA performance.
• Lead new country migrations into the GSC in line with the Target Operating Model (TOM).
• Supervise and review reconciliation activities to ensure correct interfacing with Fusion and maintain accuracy of financial records.
• Manage a detailed invoice query tracker, driving timely followups, resolutions, and preventive actions for recurring issues.
• Handle and resolve escalated invoice queries by identifying root causes and collaborating with crossfunctional teams to remove process bottlenecks.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements across all AP processes.
• Guide the team in maintaining accurate, complete, and auditready documentation with timely availability of supporting records.
• Strengthen internal controls by ensuring compliance with defined procedures and safeguarding the integrity of financial operations.
• Drive continuous process improvements by identifying inefficiencies, reducing manual efforts, and supporting automation or standardization initiatives.
• Identify and lead the transformation projects in AP Invoice booking
• Maintain and update SOPs and L5 process flows for existing and new activities.
• Lead training and capabilitybuilding initiatives to enhance team skills, business knowledge, and customercentric behavior.
• Build and strengthen relationships with suppliers and GSC stakeholders.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong attention to detail with deep expertise in financial data accuracy and control.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience managing highvolume operational teams.
• Part of multiple transformation projects, particularly within the Accounts Payable (AP) area.
• Experienced in collaborating with global stakeholders.
• Willing to work in rotational shifts to support the team and strengthen stakeholder relationships.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel for analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to address escalations effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including stakeholder management.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
• High level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive data.
• Ability to collaborate crossfunctionally and present financial insights to senior management.

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in finance operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role in a shared service center or freight forwarding environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle/TMS.
