Financial Accounting and Reporting
- Perform and manage daily accounting operations, including financial statement preparation, month-end closing, and reconciliation.
- Responsible in reviewing and submission of MAS regulatory reports (e.g., MAS 610, MAS 649) in compliance with local laws and Head Office standards from Thailand.
- Take responsibility for accurate and timely submission of GST reports to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS).
- Maintain and oversee proper records of fixed assets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Perform tasks personally when necessary to meet deadlines, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Financial Planning and Budgeting
- Lead, prepare, and oversee the bank's annual budget, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Ensure hands-on involvement in providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making by the General Manager.
- Work closely and coordinate with Head Office in Thailand to align financial reporting, budgeting, and performance requirements.
ALCO (Asset and Liability Management)
- Support and execute tasks related to ALCO activities, such as monitoring liquidity, Minimum Liquid Assets (MLA), and Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) to comply with MAS guidelines.
- Prepare and analyze data for ALCO reporting to help manage liquidity positions and financial risks.
- Take ownership of hands-on tasks related to balance sheet management, ensuring timeliness and compliance.
Compliance and Audit Support
- Ensure and perform tasks that guarantee all financial reports and documentation comply with MAS regulations, bank policies, and Head Office standards.
- Work closely and assist internal and external auditors by providing accurate financial data and relevant documentation.
- Resolve issues and discrepancies efficiently by coordinating with teams in Singapore and Thailand.
Hands-On Operational and Leadership Role
- Work alongside team members with a hands-on approach to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
- Supervise and support accounting staff member, providing guidance and ensuring accuracy of deliverables.
- Demonstrate leadership by actively contributing to operational tasks while mentoring the junior team member.
- Foster teamwork and a professional work environment to meet the department's goals.
Ad-Hoc Duties
Perform and take ownership of additional financial tasks, analysis, or special projects assigned by the General Manager to support the bank's operational needs.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field from a recognized institution.
- More than 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, or financial planning in the banking or financial services industry.
- Familiarity with MAS reporting standards (e.g., MAS 610, MAS 649) and strong understanding of budget preparation, variance analysis, and financial compliance.
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel and other financial systems/tools for reporting and analysis.
- Must be hands-on, detail-oriented, and ready to perform daily tasks while managing responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams in Singapore and Head Office in Thailand.
