Designation: Manager/ Senior Manager Policy & Regulatory Practice
Location: Delhi
Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech with MBA (preferably Finance or Power Management) or Master's in Energy Economics
Experience required: Min. 8 years
Job Profile:
- Executing Policy and Regulatory Consulting Assignments in the Energy Sector
- Keep abreast of regulatory/policy development in the power sector in India & assist management to develop business cases for upcoming/innovative business products.
- Candidate should have worked directly with the Regulatory Commissions/Power Utilities as a team leader or project manager, as part of a consulting assignment
- Candidate should have prior experience of independently developing financial and cost optimisation models, including ARR/Tariff Modelling Generation/ Transmission/ Distribution/ Renewable Energy
- A candidate with experience working with power exchanges shall be preferred
- Exposure to power procurement-related activities (drafting of tenders, PPA, bid process management, etc.) will be an added advantage.
- Candidate should have experience in:
- Preparation of Draft Tariff Orders, ARR, and Multi-Year Tariff Petitions
- Preparation of Draft Regulations/SOR/Discussion Papers
- Policy & Regulatory Research, Analysis, Report Writing, Presentation, and
- Execution of assignments in the Energy Sector
- Shall be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of analysts and consultants.
- Shall look for business opportunities for the Regulatory Practice and work with the BD team in preparation of business proposals
- Willing to work at the client location for a longer duration
Skill Set Required:
- Good knowledge and understanding of the working of the Indian Power Sector Regulatory & legal Ecosystem
- Excellent Analytical skills
- Excellent command of MS Office
- Hands-on experience in Energy modelling tools would be an advantage
- Excellent report writing skills
- Excellent presentation and delivery skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a team of consultants
