Serve as a critical business partner & drive a consistent strategic vision for EHSacross MSS India organization.
Align with MSol Global EHS & AP EHS strategies, initiatives, systems & expectations to drive safety awareness, engagement, and incident prevention.
Partner with leadership to integrate health and safety programs, activities & routines providing EHS leadership, expertise & guidance necessary to elevate the Safety culture of the organization.
Oversee the development, implementation, and application of effective EHS program at Emerson Suppliers.
Directs incident investigation process using root-cause analyses tools (e.g., Fault Tree Analysis, FMEA) to identify countermeasures and follow to closure.
Review organization, regulatory and customer EHS requirements and lead actions to confirm compliance as needed.
Drive achievement of all key safety KPIs.
Develop effective safety programs to minimize risk to ES employees.
Analyze the impact of safety, environment and health compliance on proposed projects.
Oversee and maintain positive relationships with cross function teams, EHS-related vendors and contractors to ensure health, safety and environmental procedures are followed
Develop and deploy Supplier EHS assessment frameworks, audit protocols, and scoring mechanisms.
Define, track, and report Supplier EHS KPIs and performance dashboards.
Drive Supplier Corrective Action Plans (CAP) and ensure timely closure.
Act as EHS focal point for supplier-related risk escalation.
Lead Supplier EHS qualification, approval, and periodic re-qualification.
Ensure supplier compliance with Emerson, customer, and regulatory EHS requirements.
Oversee the development, implementation and ensure effectiveness of EHS programs acrossES organization.
Develop, effectively implement, monitor and review regional health & safety policies,procedures & standards in alignment with Emerson, local regulatory, & customer EHS expectations.
Develop and ensure EHS-related training programs are in place and effectively deployed by measuring performance and compliance.
Maintain a thorough understanding of related laws/regulations and emerging issues to ensure compliance with all local and regional regulations.
Lead internal and external inspections & audits ensuring Management Systems are effective and in conformanceto ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Standards. Ensuring corrective actions are monitored, documented, and closed timely.Exposure to ISO9001 is an added advantage.
Analyze EHS statistics, prepare reports/ dashboards, make recommendations, and implement effective control measures and procedures to eliminate, or reduce, the risk of recurrences.
Share best practices and lessons learned effectively to enable continual improvement.
Provide leadership in any interactions with local or regional regulatory agencies.

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Science, or Engineering
Certified Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) or equivalent preferred
Expertise in Environmental, Health, Safety laws and regulations
Ability to travel and work in outdoor environments as needed
Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to relate to all kinds of people and build relationships based on trust and credibility
Effective in a variety of communication settings: one-on-one, small and large groups and among diverse styles and position levels
Must be willing and able to collaborate and influence management in different groups such as Operations, Training, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Quality
Creates strategies and execution plans that show a clear connection between vision and action
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
8+ years of experience developing, implementing and maintaining Environmental, Health and Safety programs in field operations or heavy industry settings
Proven knowledge of relevant agency and industry standards and practices including but not limited to OSH.
Demonstrated communication, leadership and influencing skills
