Your Role
  • Conduct in depth tax research, evaluate complex tax positions, and provide well supported technical advice to internal stakeholders.
  • Analyse implications of new transactions, legislative changes, and business initiatives, and helping the organization adopt accurate and compliant tax positions.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and timely filing of tax returns, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements across relevant jurisdictions (UK, EMEA, Canada)
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Controllership, and external advisors to ensure accurate tax reporting, including disclosures, and audit support.
  • Oversee the preparation, review and timely completion of quarterly income tax provisions.
  • Strengthen internal processes, maintain robust documentation, and drive continuous improvements in the tax compliance framework.
  • Conducting goal setting, performance reviews, and regular one-on-ones with the team to provide timely and constructive feedback
  • Ensuring all team members are trained on new tax developments/ projects and create back-up plans
  • Adhering to SOX and other internal controls process of the organization
  • Managing communications with external auditors on external financial statements and tax accounting issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures, and issues
  • Serving as initial point of escalation for issues identified by the Business Units and works with team to resolve issues.
  • Participating in special projects as required by the GBS leadership including but not limited to strategic initiatives, innovation, and software implementations.
  • Engaging into interviews, hiring, orientation, training, motivating, evaluating disciplines in conjunction with the GBS leadership.

The Experience You Bring
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in direct tax compliance, international taxation, and tax accounting (ASC-740/IAS-12)
  • Strong technical expertise in domestic and international tax laws, including cross border taxation, withholding tax, treaty interpretation, BEPS/OECD frameworks, and permanent establishment concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns, tax computations, and tax provision workings.
  • Proven ability to perform tax research on complex matters and draft clear, well supported tax memoranda or technical positions.
  • Experience supporting tax audits and defending tax positions with appropriate documentation and technical rationale.
  • Strong understanding of tax accounting concepts, including deferred tax, tax provisioning, and tax disclosures under applicable accounting frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities, with strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple deliverables, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and proven capability to collaborate with cross functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP environments (e.g., Oracle, SAP) is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, staying updated on tax developments, and contributing to process improvements.
  • Ability to hire, train and manage high performing teams.

Academic Requirements
  • CPA or ACCA or CA or MBA with working experience in corporate tax accounting and international tax advisory.
