Role Description
Its a FTC Role (Full time contractual)- Create detailed 2D/3D structural steel models using software like Tekla Structures, SDS/2, or AutoCAD (as applicable).
- Prepare accurate shop drawings and GA drawings for:
- Main frames, columns, rafters, bracings
- Secondary members (purlins, girts, eave struts)
- Connections and anchor bolt plans
- Sheeting profiles, trims, and flashing components
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, industry codes, and company standards
Sheeting, Flashing & Detailing
- Prepare complete layout and development details for roof and wall sheeting.
- Develop detailed flashing drawings including ridge caps, corner trims, fascia, gutters, and downspouts.
- Coordinate closely with architects/clients for interface detailing.
- Incorporate accessories like skylights, ventilators, and louvers with precision.
Checking & Coordination
- Review and check detailing packages prepared by internal team or external detailing vendors.
- Verify compliance with:
- Detailing Requisition Documents (DR)
- GAD, design intent, and mark plans
- Company standards and project specifications
- Identify discrepancies and ensure timely corrections.
- Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and erection teams to resolve conflicts or queries.
Skills
- 57 years of hands-on experience in PEB/metal building detailing.
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures / AutoCAD / SDS2 (as per company's tool stack).
- Strong knowledge of steel building components, AISC/IS standards, and fabrication practices.
- Experience in sheeting, flashing, and accessories detailing is mandatory.
- Previous exposure to checking and vendor coordination preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience with cold-formed steel detailing and modular steel buildings.
- Familiarity with ERP systems for BOM linking and RFI tracking.
- Exposure to India/US/ME standards will be an added advantage.
