Project Role: Manager - SAP SD (Sales and Distribution)
Project Role Description: Lead and manage SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) processes, ensuring effective implementation, optimization, and ongoing support. Oversee and guide a team in the delivery of SAP SD solutions to meet business requirements, enhance operational efficiency, and support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- SAP SD Implementation & Optimization: Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of SAP SD solutions. Oversee the configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP SD modules to meet business requirements.
- Process Improvement: Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement best practices in SAP SD to streamline and optimize sales, order management, and distribution processes.
- Team Leadership & Mentoring: Guide, mentor, and manage a team of SAP SD consultants and developers. Ensure team members are trained, motivated, and working efficiently to meet project goals.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other departments to understand requirements and align SAP SD processes with business goals. Manage expectations and deliver clear, regular communication.
- Solution Design & Configuration: Lead the design, configuration, and integration of SAP SD solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements. Ensure high-quality documentation and technical specifications.
- System Support & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support for SAP SD modules, troubleshoot system issues, and recommend solutions to enhance performance. Ensure proper handling of incidents, changes, and requests.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Ensure that SAP SD solutions are thoroughly tested, validated, and meet business requirements. Lead system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-implementation support.
- Project Management: Lead project planning, scoping, budgeting, and timeline management for SAP SD-related initiatives. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaboration with Other SAP Modules: Work closely with teams handling other SAP modules (e.g., MM, FI/CO, WM) to ensure seamless integration and end-to-end business process flow.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep up to date with the latest SAP SD features and functionality, and drive the adoption of new capabilities to enhance the business value.
Skills Required:
- Strong SAP SD Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SAP Sales and Distribution modules, including Sales Order Management, Pricing, Billing, and Credit Management.
- Business Process Understanding: Strong understanding of sales, order processing, and distribution business processes.
- Configuration and Implementation Skills: Hands-on experience in configuring and implementing SAP SD modules to meet business needs.
- Leadership & Management Skills: Proven leadership experience managing teams, driving results, and mentoring junior consultants.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with business stakeholders and IT teams.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve system and business process issues.
- Project Management: Experience managing SAP SD projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Knowledge of SAP Integration: Experience integrating SAP SD with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, FI/CO) and third-party systems.
- Change Management: Experience in managing change and ensuring smooth transitions during system updates or upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SAP certification in SAP SD module (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in SAP SD, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role overseeing SAP SD projects.
- Proven experience in leading SAP SD implementations, upgrades, and support projects.
