Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Oracle and Exadata to manage, maintain, and optimize mission-critical database environments. The ideal candidate will manage mission-critical database environments, optimize performance, support cloud migrations, automation initiatives and security of database platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.


Responsibilities

  • Database Administration: Install, configure, upgrade, and patch, troubleshoot performance issues, tune queries, manage replication/clustering.
  • Automating provisioning, patching, alert resolutions
  • Configuring VCN, subnets and security groups for databases
  • Performance & Capacity Planning: Optimize workloads, forecast scaling needs.
  • Configure Oracle grid infrastructure, ASM and RAC clusters
  • Implement data guard for DR and HA
  • Support Exadata db@cloud deployments
  • Define and enforce database security policies, including TDE, auditing, and access controls
  • Collaborate with InfoSec teams to conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for performance degradation, node failures, or data loss incidents
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and architectural blueprints

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or master's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • Over 5 years of DBA in Oracle
  • Experience in managing Exadata systems
  • Experience with scripting tools to automate routine operation tasks using Ansible/Python
