Key Responsibilities

Product Execution & Delivery

  • Translate product vision and high-level requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint backlogs.
  • Work with engineering teams to ensure clarity, feasibility, and timely delivery of product increments.
  • Manage the SMS product backlog, ensuring it is well-prioritized, refined, and aligned with business outcomes.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure continuous alignment between technical teams and product goals.
  • Validate deliverables against business and technical acceptance criteria to ensure high-quality releases.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact between engineering, QA, and cross-functional business teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to communicate progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Support pre-sales and operations teams with product knowledge and technical clarifications when needed.
  • Ensure customer, carrier, and partner feedback is incorporated into product iterations.

Market & Technical Understanding

  • Develop a solid understanding of SMS standards, GSMA specifications, and carrier-level integrations.
  • Stay informed about SMS trends, API developments, and platform capabilities to support informed product decisions.
  • Contribute to use case validation and functional design to ensure product-market fit.

Data & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor product performance metrics post-launch (e.g., delivery success rates, engagement, adoption).
  • Identify opportunities to improve user experience, efficiency, or technical reliability.
  • Support documentation, release notes, and internal enablement material for SMS product updates.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Technical Product Lead, ideally within CPaaS, telecom, or messaging platforms.
  • Strong familiarity with RCS, SMS, or other messaging APIs.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with hands-on backlog and sprint management.
  • Excellent ability to translate complex requirements into clear, testable user stories.
  • Solid communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on product quality, delivery, and customer impact.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field; Agile certification (CSPO, PSPO) preferred.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience collaborating with mobile operators, OEMs, or messaging aggregators.
  • Familiarity with API-first development, Postman collections, and JSON workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and proactive ownership mindset.
  • Interest in emerging communication technologies and their business applications.
