Inviting applications for the role of Manager, Controls Testing!
In this role, the Manager plays a pivotal role in identifying, analysing, and mitigating risks across the organisation. This position requires a deep understanding of risk management practices, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex risk concepts to stakeholders. The Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure that risks are properly assessed and managed in line with the organisation%27s objectives and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
.Risk Assessment and Controls Evaluation:
oConduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential threats to the organisation%27s financial, operational, and compliance objectives.
oEvaluate the design and effectiveness of existing internal controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
.Control Design and Implementation:
oDevelop, design, and implement new controls to address identified risks and ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
oWork closely with cross-functional teams to integrate controls into business processes.
.Monitoring and Testing:
oLead the testing of internal controls to ensure they are functioning as intended and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
oDevelop and execute control testing plans, including scoping, testing, and reporting on findings.
.Training & Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to junior risk analysts and other team members. Share expertise and knowledge to build the team's overall risk management capabilities.
.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Operations, to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk management.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
.Relevant years of experience in Controls Management and Controls Self-Assessment
.In-depth knowledge of risk and controls management frameworks, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
.Proficiency in risk and controls management software and tools.
.Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written), with the ability to convey complex risk concepts to non-specialist stakeholders.
.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
.Experience in the banking and finance industry

Preferred Qualifications
.Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
.Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Analyst (CRA), Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), or equivalent.
.Understanding of at least one the following businesses:
oCorporate and Institutional Banking business including Financial Markets
oTransaction Banking
oCredit Risk Monitoring
