As the Manager, Controllership India, you will play a pivotal role in reviewing India's financial submissions for US consolidation, ensuring full compliance with US GAAP and corporate policies. You will closely support the Regional Controller while partnering with the India Finance team on key business initiatives, projects, and matters related to Finance, Tax, and Treasury.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the controllership function within the India region to ensure compliance with local regulations and Herbalife's global financial policies.
  • Develop and implement strict internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Coordinate the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports, ensuring timely submission and adherence to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting standards.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to senior management to support decision-making and achieve ambitious business goals.
  • Manage the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors to ensure a smooth and successful audit experience.
  • Mentor and develop the finance team, encouraging a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of proven experience in a similar role within a multinational organization.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws in India.
  • Outstanding analytical abilities with the capacity to understand complex financial data and convert it into practical insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with diverse groups.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience; a professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple priorities and projects while maintaining strict attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
