Role Overview
The Control Tower Manager – Perishables Supply Chain is responsible for monitoring and optimizing end-to-end supply chain performance for the Fruits & Vegetables category across multiple fulfillment centers. The role focuses on inventory governance, demand–supply alignment, wastage reduction, financial reporting, and operational planning to ensure optimal product availability, freshness, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Supply Chain Control:
Control excess procurement and prevent overstocking through proactive monitoring and alignment with procurement teams. Track end to end system movements, slow-moving and ageing inventory and initiate timely liquidation or redistribution actions.
Monitor inventory health metrics such as DOH (Days on Hand) and escalate potential breaches.
Coordinate with procurement teams to drive demand–supply corrections and controlled buying decisions.
Warehouse Wastage Management
Own the PAN India warehouse wastage charter for the Fresh category.
Monitor quality parameters, rejection trends, and wastage drivers across cities and fulfillment centers.
Track rejection %, dump %, and recovery actions across categories and warehouses.
Work with warehouse teams to implement SOPs for handling perishable inventory and ensure operational compliance.
Drive initiatives to reduce dump % through operational interventions and process improvements.
Identify root causes of wastage and implement corrective actions in collaboration with warehouse and procurement teams.
Cross-Functional Operations Management
Collaborate with warehouse operations, category, demand planning, quality, and procurement teams to drive operational improvements.
Facilitate cross-team alignment to ensure effective inventory planning and wastage control.
Drive process improvements and SOP implementations across cities to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Strategic Projects & Process Improvements
Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives to improve inventory efficiency, reduce wastage, and optimize working capital across the FnV supply chain.
Design and implement process frameworks for DOH control, excess procurement prevention, and inventory ageing management across fulfillment centers.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing operational data and implementing automation or reporting enhancements using tools such as Excel and Google Sheets.
Required Skills
Strong analytical skills (Excel / Google Sheets / SQL basics)

Preferred Experience
3-4+ years experience in FMCG / Grocery / Quick Commerce / FnV supply chain
Knowledge of inventory planning and warehouse operations
Experience handling perishable categories
