Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the consumer research and market insights agenda for a specific business unit and will be responsible for taking on the following tasks of strategic importance -
Research Roadmap: Plan a research and analysis roadmap, prioritizing key business challenges. You will provide guidance that enables a strictly consumer-centric approach toward decision-making.
The Truth Teller: Synthesize complex data from multiple sources (Retail Audit, Panel, Custom Research, etc.) into simple, compelling narratives. You will socialize these narratives with key stakeholders to drive evidence-based decisions.
Brand Guardianship: Own the brand equity measurement system. Diagnose brand performance issues and recommend way forward across the entire marketing mix (Product, Price, Promotion, Place).
Research Rigor: You are responsible for designing reliable and valid research solutions that address business problems accurately.
Balancing Act: Put consumers at the heart of everything you do without compromising or trading off business goals.
Technical & Professional Skillset
Methodology Expert: A seasoned consumer researcher with deep experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods. You must be comfortable working with syndicated tools (Retail measurement, Household purchase behaviour, etc.)
Measurement Architect: Comfortable creating and building measurement frameworks from grounds up when standard solutions do not suffice.
Analytical Problem Solver: Excellent analytical capability with sharp attention to detail. You enjoy unearthing the why of any emerging pattern and do not stop at the first probable answer.
Cross-Functional Collaborator: An efficient collaborator who gets things done by working with cross-functional teams (Marketing, R&D, Sales).
Team Leadership: A capable manager with the ability to guide and mentor a team of young, enthusiastic insights professionals.
Curiosity in Ambiguity: Ability to multitask and demonstrate a high level of curiosity while working in uncharted territories.
