Job Purpose:The R&D Engineer for Cell Technology is responsible for developing and executing testing protocols to validate and optimize cell performance and durability. This role involves leading testing initiatives, conducting failure analyses, utilizing simulation tools, and ensuring the calibration of test equipment. By implementing real-time monitoring and maintaining detailed documentation, the leader will drive continuous improvement and innovation in cell technology, enhancing product reliability.
Responsibilities
Development of Cell Testing Protocols:
- Define and establish testing methodologies specific to cell performance, durability, and efficiency, aligning with R&D objectives.
Cell Performance Validation
- Lead comprehensive performance validation of new cell technologies through electrical, thermal, and mechanical testing.
Failure Mode And Root Cause Analysis
- Conduct in-depth failure mode analysis of cell prototypes, identifying defects and underlying issues to optimize cell design and performance.
Simulation And Predictive Modeling
- Use electrochemical modeling and simulation tools to predict cell behavior and performance under various conditions, reducing the need for physical tests.
Optimization Of Test Equipment And Procedures
- Ensure test equipment is calibrated and optimized for accurate data collection. Continuously refine testing procedures to improve efficiency and reliability.
Real-Time Data Monitoring And Analysis
- Implement real-time monitoring systems to track cell performance during tests, enabling immediate identification of issues and more responsive analysis.
Documentation And Reporting
- Ensure thorough documentation of all testing procedures, configurations, and outcomes to maintain traceability and support future R&D efforts.
Training And Development
- Provide training sessions and workshops for team members on techniques and tools, fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
- MTech or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Work Experience (Range Of Years)
- 3-5 years of experience in R&D for solar cell technologies, including leading test initiatives and validating performance against standards.
