Job Description
What you can expect
Roles & Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Project Logistics (ODC, heavy lift, break-bulk, and turnkey transportation).
- Engage with EPC companies, infrastructure developers, OEMs, and contractors for upcoming and ongoing projects.
- Respond to RFPs/RFQs and lead tender submissions with tailored technical and commercial proposals.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (project managers, procurement heads, site logistics teams).
- Conduct site visits and technical assessments to understand logistics needs and feasibility.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through continuous engagement and post-sales support.
Commercial & Technical Coordination
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and pricing teams to develop cost-effective and technically viable transport solutions.
- Understand route surveys, special equipment planning (low bed, hydraulic axles, multi-axle trailers), and statutory permissions.
Market Intelligence
- Track project developments in target industries and geographies.
- Stay informed about competitor offerings, pricing trends, and regulatory updates (e.g., state permits, axle load regulations, port handling constraints).
Reporting & CRM
- Maintain accurate pipeline and opportunity tracking using CRM tools.
- Provide weekly/monthly updates on leads, proposals, closures, and revenue forecasts.
What you bring
Experience: 8+ years in sales or business development of project logistics or heavy cargo transport services.
Domain Knowledge:
- Understanding of heavy and ODC transportation planning, multimodal solutions, and project site handling
- Familiarity with sectors like EPC, Power, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, Mining, or Steel
- Exposure to bidding, tendering, contract negotiations, and client onboarding
Skills:
- Strong sales, negotiation, and technical communication skills
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings and transport plans
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems
Travel: Willingness to travel frequently to project sites, client offices, and regional locations.
