We are seeking a Franchise Business Development Manager to join our Retail team at Fossil Group in Bengaluru, Karnataka. If you are passionate about expanding premium retail brands and building strong franchise networks, this could be the perfect role for you. In this dynamic and global company, you will drive franchise growth by identifying new opportunities, onboarding the right partners, and enabling successful store launches aligned with Fossil's brand strategy.

What you will do in this role

Market Development & Expansion Strategy

  • Identify and evaluate new markets for franchise expansion through detailed market research and competitive analysis
  • Build strong relationships with mall developers and landlords to secure premium retail locations with optimal commercial terms
  • Visit and assess potential locations to ensure alignment with brand positioning and expansion strategy

Franchisee Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Identify and evaluate prospective franchise partners in line with company guidelines
  • Lead franchise agreement negotiations ensuring compliance with legal and organizational policies
  • Drive seamless onboarding and store launch readiness in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Franchise Operations & Business Performance

  • Support franchisees in driving business performance, ensuring alignment with brand standards and operational excellence
  • Monitor franchisee performance, track KPIs, and identify growth opportunities
  • Enable consistent execution of merchandising, inventory, and customer experience standards

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams including Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with franchisees and key stakeholders to ensure achievement of business plans
  • Act as a bridge between franchise partners and internal teams for seamless execution

Strategic Planning & Analytics

  • Develop and implement franchise business plans, budgets, and forecasts to maximize ROI
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to design and execute regional marketing initiatives
  • Analyze performance data and present actionable insights to leadership

Who You Are

  • 5–12 years of experience in franchise business development within retail, fashion, or lifestyle brands
  • Strong understanding of the mall ecosystem and relationships with mall developers, especially in Tier 2 markets
  • Proven experience in driving franchise expansion at a regional or national level
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive strategic decisions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building capabilities
  • Postgraduate (MBA preferred) from a reputed institute
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems
  • Process-driven, result-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
