Purpose of the role - The primary purpose of this role is to manage and strengthen the partnership between Deakin University and it's strategic partners effectively. The role involves enhancing Deakin's brand presence across recruitment, research, and skilling initiatives to drive growth, establish strong academic-industry connections, and generate incremental business opportunities.
Department - Partnerships
Note: This role will involve travel for promotional activities and events within India and working over the weekends.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS (KRAs)
Strategic Planning and Execution
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for the Deakin's strategic partners, aligned with Deakin
University's broader goals in the region.
Identify growth opportunities and potential challenges within the partnership, proposing actionable strategies to address them.
Monitor progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust plans as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
Student Recruitment & Support
Achieve student enrolment targets through dual degree programs, articulation arrangements, pathway programs, and direct entry into Deakin's programs across Deakin's strategic partners.
Develop an annual activity calendar with targeted recruitment strategies to attract high-quality students.
Develop relationships across key departments at Deakin's strategic partners and strengthen engagement by meeting agreed- upon deliverables. Promote master's programs and generate student enrolments.
Represent Deakin University in all joint initiatives, facilitating stakeholder interactions and strengthening engagement.
Organize promotional activities such as workshops, webinars, and information sessions to increase awareness of Deakin's programs.
Support students in the joint programs with troubleshooting, operational assistance, and regular engagement activities.
Build relationships with schools and institutions in the region to create a pipeline of prospective students.
Sensitize schools on Deakin's UG programs and facilitate awareness among students.
Represent Deakin University at regional agent-led events to support and drive student enrolments.
Research Support
Facilitate joint research initiatives between Deakin University and it's strategic partners across emerging disciplines.
Support the activities under Women and Inclusive Entrepreneurship Hub to drive and implement impactful projects focused on inclusive entrepreneurship
Student Mobility
Facilitate enrolments for study abroad programs from assigned partner institutions, promoting international student mobility.
Promote mobility initiatives and research internships among institutional partners, driving participation and achieving enrolment targets.
Skill Development Initiatives
Identify regional opportunities for skill development programs and implement new skilling initiatives.
Promote Deakin short courses, certifications, and upskilling opportunities, particularly in the emerging fields.
Support Functions and Reporting
Adhere to predefined workflows, operating procedures, and reporting requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders at Deakin's strategic partners to develop and execute plans that align with partnership goals.
Provide regular progress updates and reports to the South Asia leadership team.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Qualifications: Master's degree from a recognized university.
Experience: 6 to 7 years of relevant experience in international education, partnerships, or a related field.
Key Skills:
Proven experience in international marketing, student recruitment, and partnership management.
Expertise in skilling initiatives and industry engagement, particularly in collaboration with academia.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to execute multiple strategic initiatives.
Familiarity with higher education systems and emerging trends in education and skilling.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for relationship building and stakeholder engagement.
Strong ability to multi-task and thrive in a diverse and dynamic team environment.
Capable of working under pressure while consistently meeting deadlines.
Experience in collaborating with international organizations and government agencies.
