About The Product Function

The Product function is transforming the organisation that is excellent at turning our customers problems into solutions that delights them. Working closely with the customer and the technology, business, relationship management, operations, data science and governance teams they; discover the underlying unmet needs of the users; define and agree the outcomes and acceptance criteria; orchestrate the design of the prototype; help architect a software platform providing data ingestion, processing and analytics delivery; manage its development through the software development lifecycle; ensure the solution meets the needs of the users and is adopted, and; build measurement and product improvements processes.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced manager and leader of Business Analyst teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceptional management in a complex organisation, shaping strategic roadmaps, and delivering business value through requirements management and process optimization. This leadership role requires a blend of analytical expertise, stakeholder management, and strong business acumen.

What the job involves:

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of business analysts.
  • Define and implement the operating model for the Business Analysis function.
  • Ensure alignment of business analysis activities with the Product Development Lifecycle, the overall business strategy and the organisation's goals.

Business Analysis & Delivery

The primary approach to Business Analysis is Human-Cantered Design methodologies to keep the customer and user at the centre of the Business Analyst activities.

  • Lead the team on requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation across business units and projects.
  • Lead the team to translate business needs into functional specifications and ensure solution design meets the business objectives.
  • Champion best practices, frameworks, and methodologies for business analysis.
  • Oversee business case development, cost-benefit analysis, and impact assessments.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with executive leadership, product management, operations, and technology teams to define priorities.
  • Act as the key liaison between product managers, business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Build a data-driven decision culture and methodology
  • Influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations.

Governance & Standards

  • Establish and maintain business analysis standards, templates, and tools.
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and compliance of all business analysis deliverables.
  • Monitor KPIs and metrics to track team performance and business value delivered.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success managing and developing Business Analysts across multiple locations with the ability to drive cohesion, communication, and consistent delivery standards.
  • Significant experience working in capital markets, banking, benchmarking/analytics, or a data-intensive consulting environment, with strong understanding of how data insights inform commercial and product decisions.
  • Strong experience in enterprise-level change initiatives, digital transformation, and large-scale system implementations.
  • Hands-on experience as a Business Analyst for data-heavy analytical products.
  • Proven expertise in Agile, Scrum, and project management methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to solve complex problems and make strategic decisions.

Nice-to-have:

It would be advantageous if you had some of the following:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. Professional certifications in CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile BA, or equivalent.
  • Experience designing or scaling business analysis frameworks, governance models, playbooks, templates, or standards at an organisational level.
  • Practical experience defining KPIs, measuring outcomes of strategic initiatives, and ensuring benefits realisation as part of large change programmes.
