Role Description

This is an on-site, full-time Manager BD In-licensing role based in Mumbai. The professional in this role will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing end-to-end in-licensing opportunities to expand the company's product portfolio. Regions to be covered: Asia, MENA, Latam, Africa, Australia. This entails comprehensive market and competitor analysis, establishing partnerships with global pharmaceutical companies, driving cross-functional feasibility assessments, and executing strategic negotiations to secure definitive licensing agreements.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough therapeutic landscaping, competitive benchmarking, and patent/regulatory assessments to identify viable pipeline products.

Lead partner sourcing, draft term sheets, and manage the end-to-end execution of definitive agreements.

Build robust business proposals and risk assessments to structure financially viable deals under pricing pressure.

Coordinate cross-functional alignment across Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, and Sales to ensure seamless project execution and commercial launch readiness.

Manage complex, multi-country licensing projects by navigating diverse legal, regulatory, and commercial interdependencies.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in in-licensing is required in pharma. Non-pharma candidates do not apply.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or B.Tech. An MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute is highly advantageous.

Strong understanding of pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, APIs, and global/regional regulatory landscapes.

Proven track record in strategic business development, contract negotiation, and managing complex partnerships within the healthcare sector.

A proactive, analytical mindset with the execution discipline to operate independently and align multiple cross-functional initiatives with broader business goals.
