Global Business Services

Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations.

In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.

Process Overview

Global Markets Operations provides operations support to the Global Markets Business of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Key Business activities include back office and middle office operations related to securities, derivatives, futures, options, currencies (FX) and commodities. Key functions include Trade Processing & settlement, Inventory Management, Cash Management, Asset Services, Collateral Management, Reconciliation, and Client & Product Data.

Trade Control/support is responsible for tracking the trade flow and making sure that there is an element of risk management and control. This team identifies errors and raises them to the desk. Verify accuracy of risk and P&L required for trading. Oversee end to end reconciliations of firm positions and trade bookings. Partner with other FO/MO and BO teams globally to resolve issues. Active participation in new business initiatives and large-scale system transformation and migrations projects.

Job Description

  • Strong Products knowledge of Fixed Income Derivatives (Rates, Credit, FX etc.), Concept of XVA (CVA, FVA, DVA, etc.), Bonds, Futures and Options and Capital Markets.
  • The candidate needs to have a strong understanding of the Derivatives Trade Life cycle with adequate experience in Trade and Product Control processes.
  • Awareness of various Industry Regulations such as Dodd Frank, EMIR, ESMA, Volcker and FINRA.
  • Should possess a Risk mind set and analytical ability.
  • Strong Communication and Problem-Solving skills
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with varied functional stakeholders globally.

Responsibilities

  • Strong communication & negotiation skills across all levels of seniority including especially with the Trading desk
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver results in a high-pressured environment
  • Logical approach to problem solving and ability to priorities multiple tasks
  • Proven analytical skills including data reconciliation and interpretation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with an ability to notice minor discrepancies / issues

Requirements

Education Graduate/Postgraduate: Chartered Accountant or MBA in finance from a recognized college / TIER I/II College

Certifications If any : CFA, FRM preferred

Experience Range 8-12 yrs

Foundational skills:
