Job Description
Join our renowned Renewable Energy Group as a Manager- Warehouse & Logistics and take charge of overseeing and managing all aspects of warehouse and logistics operations. In this role, you will play a key role in coordinating international shipments, custom clearance, transportation, inventory reconciliation, team leadership, documentation, and vendor management.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with relevant authorities and vendors to ensure timely custom clearance for the import of solar PV modules.
- Line up containers for inland transportation from the port to the solar plant site.
- Arrange trailers and trucks for shipping equipment from the supplier's plant to the solar project site.
- Coordinate with the warehouse management vendor to ensure bi-weekly reconciliation of inventory.
- Lead a team of stores executives stationed at multiple solar project sites across India.
- Coordinate with the accounts team during stock transfers to ensure proper documentation.
- Maintain a log of shipments in transit and provide regular updates.
- Collect material delivery reports, invoices, Eway bills, LRs from stores executives at project sites and complete the GRN (Goods Receipt Note) in ERP.
- Maintain a strong network of transporters to obtain quotations and negotiate with them.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for efficient storage and retrieval of materials.
- Implement inventory control measures, such as cycle counting, to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors, negotiate favourable contracts and pricing terms.
- Monitor and manage transportation costs, freight rates, and transportation service providers.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse and logistics processes.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination of warehouse and logistics activities.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in warehouse and logistics management.
Qualifications
- Engineering Professionals having experience in Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, International Shipments and Logistics Management, preferably in the renewable energy or similar industry.
