About The Role

You will be assisting in the design and production of everything from Art Curation to hand-painted murals, to custom wallpaper patterns, new Art prints/paintings, and dimensional installations, etc.

This will also involve managing a team of in-house artists/designers in their day-to-day

deliverables. Part of the work will be installation-based, apart from the design bit. Strong

hands-on art and design skills are required - i.e. painting, drawing, or other means of creating

design in physical spaces, using tools, ladders, etc. You will assist in managing relationships with designers on the team, vendors, manufacturers and project managers, ensuring the ordering and organisation of materials and samples, and interfacing with freelancers and artists. You must also have experience in traditional graphic design as well as a good knowledge of the local history in terms of cultural references, textiles and regional crafts. An eye for design research is crucial too.

Responsibilities

. Reports to the Head of Art & Graphics and studio director while managing and working withthe associates, Leads, Studio Director and Interior Designers to execute the overall designintent for each space.

. Stay up to date with contemporary art, graphic, and interior design trends.

. Be an engaged member of both the Art and interior design teams. Bring fresh ideas tomeetings and be willing to go the extra mile to help team members.

. Manage personal and the team's workflow and schedule efficiently and consistently, all thewhile being on top of all the wework product verticals like WPS, MO, BAU and customisation.

. Collaborate in the design of environmental art & graphics with multiple department leaders,clients, and project stakeholders

. Assist in the installation of graphic and art projects - whether that be hand painting, assistingteam members, coordinating with vendor queries or finding the right vendor or local artist.

. Day-to-day management and follow-ups of key deliverables with designers.

Basic Qualifications

. Strong knowledge and understanding of art and design principles

. 7-8 years of experience in the professional graphic design/art field

. Clear communicator and efficient designer

. Strong interest in interior design, art, and installation design

. Clearly demonstrate leadership characteristics

. Ambitious outside-of-the-box thinker willing to reach beyond their comfort zone

. A MUST: Very proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).Proficient in After Effects, too.

. Comfortable translating design into physical installation work for workspaces.

. Able to reference past WeWork projects and the overall brand aesthetic while creating work for new WeWork spaces
