Manager, Analytics & Insights - Sales Performance

About the Role:

Wolters Kluwer is seeking a motivated and talented professional as an Manager of Analytics & Insights for Sales Performance Management to join a newly created Incentive Compensation & Planning COE. The COE will support 5 core divisions, approximately 55 subsidiaries, and 3,000+ sellers across 140+ countries. The COE will partner with the various Divisions & Business Units while remaining a strong partner to the Sales Transformation team within the Corporate Strategy, Innovation, and M&A Group.

In this management role, you will have an exciting opportunity to establish Xactly analytics from scratch spanning 8 different Xactly instances with 90+ data inputs. Following the backend development of Xactly and the recent product release of Xactly Reporting and Xactly Extend, the sky is the limit for potential analytics and insights. You will be responsible for Xactly related activities that support all sales functions and contribute to the smooth execution of sales activities. Additionally, you will partner on multiple strategic initiatives across RevOps and establish the foundational framework for Sales Performance Analytics across Wolters Kluwer.

Responsibilities:

  • Dashboards: Build and Manage dashboards in Xactly and/or external tools
  • Data Visualization: Present complex data in a clear, actionable format for stakeholders using Xactly
  • Planning Processes: Support annual and quarterly planning processes with data-driven recommendations.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth using Xactly Modules & Apps
  • GTM Alignment: Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g. Sales, Finance, Marketing) to align Xactly analytics with business objectives.
  • Strategic Projects: Lead initiatives to improve analytics & insights processes and tool (Xactly).
  • BI Deployment: Support deployment of Xactly analytics solutions and other BI tools (as needed)
  • People Management: Train team members and stakeholders on Xactly analytics tools & methodologies to improve adoption & clarity to the business.
  • Compensation Support: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support Incentive compensation management.
  • Process Optimization: Provide actionable recommendations to optimize sales processes and improve efficiency.
  • Insightful Analytics: Communicate complex data in a clear, visual format for stakeholders.
  • Performance Analytics: Oversee performance of Sales Incentive Plans and SPIFF programs and generate visibility and insights to the business.
  • Compliance: Support compliance with Internal Controls team across all data related requirements, including general Run-the-Business trend outliers pre- and post-payroll submission.
  • Plan Intelligence: Provide ad hoc insights for plan design reviews and postmortems drive action plans for continuous improvement.
  • Plan Design: Support and/or develop and monitor data-driven Incentive compensation strategies.
  • Administration Support: Provide Xactly administration support as needed (not the everyday expectation).

Skills & Experiences:

  • 5+ years relevant experience with Sales Compensation Analytics related responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field experience may offset.
  • Xactly Certification(s), or ability to obtain after onboarding.
  • Proven experience in sales compensation administration, governance, and technical design/configuration/development, with an understanding of compensation methodologies and functional best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate insightful analytics from complex data effectively and with a scalable approach.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across various teams and coaching/mentoring those in the COE.
  • Experience managing and/or dispositioning incentive compensation related disputes & inquiries or ability to interpret challenges from the sales organization and synthesize challenges into actionable insights.
  • Proven experience identifying root causes of common disputes/inquiries or other related challenges, then prioritizing and delivering improvements that strengthens operational excellence across process, policy, technology, and data.
  • Experience intaking Analytics requests, synthesizing the requests and prioritizing business ROI, scalability, etc. strengthening the maturity of incentive and performance analytics.
  • Ability to think strategically while considering tactical implications.
  • Communicates difficult concepts and influences others to adopt a different point of view.
  • Ability to socialize ideas and get executive buy-in.
  • Excellent execution, prioritization, and organization skills.
  • Strong experience with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Advanced SQL experience required
  • Experience establishing data governance practices and structure to generate insightful analytics.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Xactly Reporting
  • Certifications from other ICM systems (i.e. Varicent, SAP-Callidus)
  • Certification(s) in Analytics systems are preferred, but not required (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, Data Studio)
  • Experience with ETL tools (i.e., Informatica) for data automation & transformation
