The Manager I – Business Intelligence (AI) is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for embedding artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and automation across Medical Business Unit operations. This role drives measurable business impact including revenue growth, cost efficiency, and improved customer experience.
The position combines AI product ownership, business enablement, and data‑driven strategy, acting as a key connector between business needs, digital capabilities, and advanced analytics solutions. The AI Manager will play a critical role in accelerating the Medical BU's transformation into an AI‑first organization, ensuring responsible innovation and scalable value creation.
Key Responsibilities
AI Strategy & Product Delivery
- Identify, assess, and prioritize high‑value AI, advanced analytics, and data science use cases aligned with Medical BU strategic objectives
- Establish and manage a structured AI and analytics demand management framework
- Develop ROI‑based business cases and define success metrics from pilot through enterprise‑scale deployment
- Translate complex business challenges into actionable AI, automation, or analytics initiatives
- Partner closely with data, technology, and process teams to design and implement solutions
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies, including LLMs, agentic AI, and cognitive automation, for current and future applicability
Business Enablement & AI Education
- Drive AI adoption by demonstrating productivity, decision‑making, and operational impact
- Design and deliver AI Quick Start programs, playbooks, and hands‑on enablement sessions for business teams
- Serve as a role model for effective use of AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT Enterprise
Data Readiness & AI Enablement
- Partner with Data & Analytics teams to ensure data access, availability, and quality for priority AI initiatives
- Identify critical data gaps and work cross‑functionally to resolve them
- Act as the business liaison, translating AI use‑case requirements into defined data needs
- Ensure alignment with enterprise data governance, privacy, and security standards
- Leverage enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Databricks) as part of active AI initiatives
Responsible AI & Performance Measurement
- Establish clear guidelines for ethical, transparent, and responsible AI use
- Define KPIs and dashboards to monitor AI adoption, usage, and effectiveness
- Track and report business value generated from AI initiatives, including revenue impact, cost savings, and operational efficiency
Continuous Innovation & Partnerships
- Stay current on emerging AI trends, tools, and technologies
- Evaluate and manage partnerships with vendors, startups, and internal enterprise teams
- Enable experimentation through controlled pilot environments and scale successful solutions
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in digital product management, applied AI, data strategy, or advanced analytics
- Proven track record of delivering measurable business outcomes through AI, automation, or digital transformation
- Experience working within complex, matrixed, global organizations
Technical & Functional Skills
- Hands‑on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, Python scripting, or workflow automation
- Strong understanding of enterprise data platforms and ecosystems such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, SAP, Salesforce
- Solid knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security principles
