Key Responsibilities Accountabilities
- Delivering projects and managing stakeholder expectations for Novartis pipeline products commercial strategy
- Act as an individual contributor and handle multiple projects at once. Mentor and lead a small of team of Analysts/Senior Analysts in delivering projects
- Deliver advanced analytical solutions for various projects related to quantification of patient journey, informing validating forecast assumptions and other ad-hoc business questions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to extract insights from complex APLD data sets and identify patterns and trends
- Support exploratory research to identify new areas of application of advanced analytics in providing enhanced decision-making support
- Deliver through structured project management approach with appropriate documentation and communication throughout project delivery cycle
- Support in creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality checklists (QCs) that will enable excellent quality outputs within the function
- Support in developing and maintaining knowledge repositories that captures qualitative and quantitative reports of therapy areas, diseases, Novartis external brands, macroeconomic trends of Novartis operating markets, etc.
- Support team leaders in recruitment and on-boarding of new associates within the organization
- Participate in various knowledge sharing sessions that enables growth and improves quality of deliverables across the function
- Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to maximize value
- Comply with all internal functional operating procedures like time tracking, KPI tracking and reporting, and other internal systems and processes
- Comply to all Novartis operating procedures as per legal/IT/HR requirements
Ideal Requirements
Education
- Postgraduate (or Graduate from a top-tier university) in a quantitative discipline, technology, life sciences, or management.
Work Experience
- 6+ years of experience in advanced analytics for pharma commercial strategy
- 3+ years of relevant experience in patient analytics, within early product or launch strategy is a plus
- Experience in the pharma industry or pharma consulting is essential
- Strong hands-on technical expertise with SQL and Python.
- Proven knowledge of patient-level datasets such as Open Closed Claims, EHR/EMR, and various Hospital datasets.
- An individual with considerable analytical skills, a solid quantitative background, and a problem-solving approach is required.
- The ideal candidate should have the ability to quickly incorporate new data sources into standard analyses and demonstrate effective stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in international companies and cross-cultural environments combined with a proactive focus on business results and delivering productivity-boosting insights.
Preferred skills:
- Familiarity with Ex-US datasets like JMDC, MDV and the like is desirable.
- Proficiency in MS-Office, especially advanced MS Excel PowerPoint; experience with Dataiku will be a plus point.
- Experience or familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI, QlikSense, and Tableau will be regarded positively.
